"AGAIN?!"
The sound of a hand coming down hard on wood reverberated throughout the office as Tsuanade rose angrily to her feet. Not too long ago they had just lost a shinobi. One of them from Kakashi's team if she remembered correctly, and now she was being told there was another gone MISSING? No, no, no... this would not stand. Two shinobi lost within a week of each other while not at war was unacceptable. Tsuande's hard gaze met the lazy stare of the man she deemed worthy of becoming her successor should she vacate the position of Hokage.
"You mean to tell me that he just up and left without reason? No, wait. You said his reason was revenge. What is it with kids these days?" she asked rhetorically as she sat back in her chair, slumping down as far as she could without falling out of it. "No respect for their elders, I swear. Can't say that I'm surprised though, Kakashi. He is one of yours," she added with a playful smile.
Naruto had donw some growing up recently, but nowhere what was considered mature for his age. Maybe that was why he was still a Chūnin, while many of his friends had graduated to Jōnin. Still, Tsunade held a certain fondness for the boy as he reminded her much of her own brother. Eerily, the two even looked quite similar. For their first couple of meetings, Tsunade had to hold back tears. These days she just has to hold back her fists. Naruto can be extremely trying on the nerves...
"So you sent one of your tracker dogs after the boy... what next? I've called Kurenai here, so maybe she can help you. At the very least she can put him under some kind of Genjutsu. That should keep the little runt immobile for a while. Maybe after some rest he'll be ready to listen to reason. Though if he's as much like Naruto as I think he is, that won't help at all."

"I'm afraid so," Kakashi responded to Lady Tsunade's outburst with little more than a disinterested tone. His one visible eye stared lazily at the Fifth, unblinking. While the Lady might be able to intimidate most that she came across, Kakashi had seen far too much to be intimidated by this little show. Aside from that, he knew that Lady Tsunade was known for theatrics and wouldn't actually strike him for this incident.
"Despite what I tried explaining to him, the boy took off without listening. He's almost like a bad mix of Naruto and Sasuke. Possessing the will of Naruto and the listening skills of Sasuke. Not a good combination at all."
Kakashi stood at attention as the Fifth continued her speech, listening intently as this was important. Generally his mind would be elsewhere while receiving an informal reprimand. This, however, required his full attention, and he gave Lady Tsunade that curteousy. Even if she had already figured out much of what she wanted to do about the situation.
Contradictory to common belief - spread mostly through stories Jiraiya had told over the years - Tsunade was a quite capable leader, and took her job very seriously. Kakashi simply shrugged when she mentioned not being surprised that Heath had gone off the way he did, disobeying a superior and going against better judgement.
"Honestly, Lady Hokage, neither am I."
Taking the momentary pause given to him by the Fifth, Kakashi felt Pakkun's chakra getting somewhat weaker. From the direction it was obvious that the boy was headed to the Land of Grass. Dangerous place for someone his age, and even more dangerous now that his enemies would know his face. Kakashi did not shift, and his gaze did not change. Showing the Fifth that he was worried might have her jump to a decision early.
"I sent Pakkun after him, yes. Kurenai could be a help, but if Heath has begun to master his Sharingan, there is a chance that any Genjutsu cast on him will only fail. When it comes to Genjutsu, you don't have to see the hand signs being formed."
Kakashi thought for a moment and then nodded softly. "Yes, send Kurenai after him, but only as a distraction and a test. I will come along as well, but at a distance. If it becomes apparent that Heath is able to see through her Genjutsu I'll step in."
There was no need to make a formal request in front of the Fifth. If anything, she saw asking permission as a sign of hesitation. Kakashi knew that she would not deny him this due to the fact that if anyone was capable of fighting a Sharingan user, it was him. Having aquired the Mangekyo Sharingan, he would be able to counter anything that Heath decided he needed to throw at either Jōnin.
